ORLANDO, Fla. — From innovative jobs to affordable housing and improving safety in downtown Orlando, Mayor Buddy Dyer touched on achievements and goals in his annual State of Downtown Address Wednesday.
In the heart of downtown and the innovation district, Dyer applauded Orlando’s resilience through challenges.
“It shouldn’t be a surprise that coming out of a global pandemic Orlando is primed for another cycle of reinvention,” Dyer said.
He delivered his speech in front of hundreds of people in the Luminary Green Park at Creative Village.
He listed ways his team is working to make downtown safer.
“We’re working to amend our land development code to increase safety at night by better regulating parking lots, reducing nuisances and enhancing our noise ordinances,” Dyer said.
